Schneider Electric India plans to invest Rs 623 crore to expand its manufacturing facilities at Gagillapur and Shamshabad, company officials said after a meeting with the ‘Telangana Rising' delegation at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos.The delegation, led by chief minister A Revanth Reddy, met Schneider Electric India CEO Deepak Sharma, who outlined plans to scale up capacity for electrical safety products such as air circuit breakers, moulded case circuit breakers, contactors and push buttons. Sharma said the expansion is expected to boost local manufacturing and support supply to industrial and infrastructure projects.

The discussions also explored collaboration in energy transition and storage, focusing on grid modernisation, energy efficiency and digital power management for industrial parks and urban infrastructure.Revanth Reddy said sustainability is a central pillar of Telangana's development strategy and noted that the investment aligns with the state's Net-Zero target by 2047.The delegation highlighted Telangana's growth as an electronics manufacturing hub and discussed opportunities for expanding smart-factory capabilities, energy management, automation and EV-related components. Sharma said Schneider Electric operates 38 skill development centres in Telangana.
